Naruto 599: Obito Uchiha
( うちはオビト, Uchiha Obito )
Author: Masashi Kishimoto
Arc: Shinobi World War Arc
Volume: Uncategorised
[RECAP]
Yes I skipped #598 but kindly blame Kishimoto for managing to hide yet again the identity of Tobi in that chapter. There wasn't any point writing about it, but this chapter forced me to write.
However, the only thing really worth seeing in chapter 598 was the last page.

[REVIEW]
Isn't the name of the chapter stating the obviousness of the fact? I was right. Among the innumerable theories of Tobi being Madara Uchiha (eldest possible) to Shisui Uchiha (youngest possible), I was that one guy who was persistent about he being none other than - the one guessed by yours truly. I feel proud today. I feel amazing. Im singing Robert Frost's The Road Not Taken to myself.
"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."
This particular chapter reminds me of the beginning of my favorite series, Kakashi Gaiden with Obito running and panting. In just 15 pages and no dialogues at all, Kishimoto shows us the less-known, Naruto-like loser side of Obito. Unable to win the Chunnin Exam while his rival teammate Kakashi won, being friend-zoned by the other teammate because she likes Kakashi, and then finally being friends with him. It's like the names have changed, and everything else is same.
But there is a difference.
Obito sacrificed his life for his teammates. He had to give up his Naruto like dreams, to become the world's greatest ninja for them. That's when he grew up. He realized the truth. Frankly speaking, except for me being a crazy Obito fan, another thing which made me believe he was Tobi was the fact that he was a perfect match for Naruto, the final villain, the perfect example of a Naruto gone wrong. A grown up Naruto.

The one eyed man. Debuted the manga as Tobi in Chapter 280. The man who was responsible for numerous deaths, including his own master's. I don't think there's any chance Tobi will get inspired by Naruto's dreams like Pain and stop being the baddie. There's gonna be an epic fight, but before that, another thing I'm sure of is either Kakashi or Might Guy is gonna die. Why? Both of them in some way are responsible for Obito's failure and he'll surely have his revenge. Countdown to the final showdown begins!
Waiting now for Naruto #600. Leaving you with the last page of this chapter..
